WHY IS THIS NEEDED?

Omeganism is my self-created religion, and it’s the product of years of careful thinking, spiritual revelation and also relevant research. In Britain, we have a tendency to dismiss genuine innovation in ideas, but in most respects, Omeganism is shamelessly futuristic, and not much interested in multi-faith approaches. It’s main focus is not morality or “saving souls”, but the use of shapes, colours and sounds to transcend into new spiritual states, and a system of Four Holy Deities. However, careful thought is also given to ethical and moral questions, and to political issues where relevant, but also because of given the unfair prejudices that the Prophet has been subject to, and which has made Omeganism into a far more militant religion than it was at first.

You don’t have to “convert” to Omeganism to get involved with OSSI, as proposed here, though some may choose to. Any responsible, dedicated person of any sex, age, social class, nationality or skin colour is welcome to become a “fellow traveller” within Omeganism, and the proposed OMEGAN SPIRITUAL SYMPOSIUM INTERNATIONAL, or simply come to any proposed meetings - so long as they are aware of the rules involved in taking part. Most rules are laid out in Holy Book of the Republic, but - for example - being unduly argumentative with other users of the proposed service, spreading rumours about those involved and other such undermining activities may result in suspensions.

Politics alone will not solve our problems, because it cannot give us space to reflect beyond the everyday. And old religions have let us down in so many ways, lacking the character-building structures needed for the 21st century and beyond.

Why have yet another religion? AND WHY SAY THIS NOW? Well, let’s focus on at least three existing religions: Judaism, Christianity and Islam. Their main focus is on guilt, rather than on building up a person’s character: intellectually, spiritually and morally, and yes - sexually too, and without shame. They tend to look backwards. Omeganism actually contains visions sent from the future to their present day, using not morals (though these may be useful), but shapes, colours, textures and sounds.

COVID-19 has exposed further weaknesses in our political system, and the moral and spiritual independence of existing religions - nearly all of whom have gone alone with the prevailing social order with little regard for the long-term social, financial or medical consequences, and shown allegiance NOT to the people of Britain, or even the planet, but to a small clique of interests. The recent COVID 19 had been shown to be both sham and conspiracy time and time again. If you only consider one fact about the Covid Lockdown, note that Britain was not in “lockdown” for any crisis of this kind since the Middle Ages.

It may seem harsh or extreme to say it, but Britain is being run not just by rich capitalists, but also, in conjunction with a small religious clique - oddly enough, at a time when many in the working class seem to have no obvious religion at all. This is the JUDEO-CAPITALIST AXIS, and it wants to turn Britain and the world back to traditional religion through either sentimentality or fear.

If you see churches, synagogues or mosques (for example) doing good, remember, these days, that “good” often comes with strings attached: Invariably, this leads governments and big businesses to fund these religious groups. Yet there are many other spiritual or creative ventures that rarely receive government or corporate support. Why? It’s because those ventures are not in line with the new and dangerous ideological cocktail of religion and big business. Beware when anyone offers you this kind of government or corporate support, because ultimately, YOU will end up losing out.

At such a critical time, racial and sexual divisions have been exploited to create more confusion and prolong the sense of helplessness during this crisis. Other moral panics - mostly notably around child welfare - have also been furthered. And all of this helps no one, nor offers leadership or direction to those that might benefit from it the most.

We expect our churches to let people in, but during the Covid crisis, some have been turning people away. We expect religious leaders to set clear standards of behaviour, not blow with the wind, even if their views may be wrong. Sticking to your principles - even when the going gets tough - should be essential for any campaigning movement. But to do that, you need principles that actually reap rewards to start with, and that is where traditional religion has failed, time and time again.

SUMMARY OF PROPOSALS:-

- An organisation called the OMEGAN SPIRITUAL SYMPOSIUM INTERNATIONAL, based around the religion of Omeganism, its Four Deities, the Delta and its Holy Book of the Republic - but also open to people of compatible spirituality, or those with no religious beliefs at all. It poses as direct and revolutionary challenge to the those religions and related, governing institutions that defend the existing social order, and which have previously used aggressive measures against the Prophet. Omeganism is not a “live and let live” religion, though it may seek to avoid hate or violence. It seeks to overthrow those religions that prevent its full realisation by means of a cultural, spiritual and (where possible) political revolution.
- Regular meetings with food and drink to establish agreed aims for campaigns, rituals, prayers, music and mutual support, and discussion of Holy Book of the Republic’s relevance to everyday life, as well as other texts and videos, and also non-Omegan works that may of of benefit. These meetings should ideally be in set indoor locations, and form into DAWLS (Omegan “churches”), each with its own building, decorated with the colours and symbols of Omeganism. The meetings should follow Fairmark principles and rituals, including use of the Delta, Fairmark flag and - where possible - the Trimark hand salute.
- IN POLITICS: OSSI is not intended primarily as a political party. However, a mixture of patriotic and internationalist approaches is essential. Also essential is racial tolerance and a broadly cleansing, but ruthlessly “extra-judicial” attitude to most aspects of sexuality so as to avoid the modern tendency to pry into and (often wrongly) judge others’ private lives - and there should also be a refusal to accept current “sexualities” (e.g. heterosexual, himosexual etc). OSSI would seek to develop its own revolutionary army and police in the form of the “OSS Lightning Core”, its own internal religious courts for dealing with some less-significant disputes, and set its own measures for enforcing justice. In terms of social welfare politics, the minimum standard was laid out fairly effectively by the late Conservative peer, Lord Gilmour. The programme laid out in Holy Book of the Republic is designed to appeal to a wide range of views on social welfare, so as to campaign for a permanent, irreversible, minimum standard of welfare for all.
